General Skilled Migration Visas

Benefits

  • Subclass 189 and 190: These permanent visas allow you to live and work in Australia indefinitely, sponsor eligible relatives for permanent residency, and, if eligible, apply for Australian citizenship.
  • Subclass 491: This temporary visa is valid for 5 years and provides a pathway to apply for a Permanent Residency Visa (Subclass 191) after 3 years, provided you meet residence and income conditions. It allows unrestricted working hours and access to Medicare.

Student and Student Guardian Visas

  • Student Visa (Subclass 500): Allows study in Australia.
  • Student Guardian Visa (Subclass 590): Permits a guardian to accompany and support a student under 18 years of age.

Overview

  • Subclass 500: Enables you to study in Australia with family members, work part-time during the study period, and work full-time during school holidays.
  • Subclass 590: Allows a guardian to provide care and support to a student under 18. Guardians can study an English course for less than 20 hours a week or another course for up to 3 months but cannot work in Australia.

Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485)

Overview

 This temporary visa is for international students who have recently graduated from an Australian institution. It lets you stay, work, or continue studying in Australia. The visa has two streams:

  • Post-Vocational Education Work Stream
  • Post-Higher Education Work Stream

Eligibility

  • Be under 35 years old.
  • Hold a student visa within the last 6 months.
  • Have completed studies within the last 6 months.
  • Meet Australian study, English language, health insurance, and character requirements.

Overview
